Blessed Be Your Name, written by Matt and Beth Redman is 18 years old this year, but one of the songs I consider to be a worship classic. By 2002, worship songs started to move away from either a single chorus repeated over and over or a single verse chorus combination. While I enjoyed the classic praise and worship choruses of the 80’s and 90’s, I appreciate the move to full on songs with multiple verses and chorus and sometimes a bridge. Blessed Be Your Name and Revelation Song were two songs that came out about this time. Enjoy!
Instead of posting a worship song from someone else, I thought I would start posting videos from our times of worship. I have liked this song since I first heard it back in 2005 and we used it to kick off worship on Sunday. It’s actually a rewritten hymn called “Sing We the King.” I hope you enjoy!
Yesterday was Trinity Sunday and one of the songs we sang was Hillsong’s “King of Kings.” I have been doing some fun cover songs and usually on Monday’s I post a produced video. This is a video I recorded today – in the basement – unplugged – no processing – with just the mic on the camera.
Praise the Father, Praise the Son, Praise the Spirit Three in One. God of glory, majesty. Praise forever to the King of Kings.
A great reminder that our God is holy – and He has and will reign forever!
