The Last Sunday of Summer
This Sunday – September 19 marks the last Sunday of summer. Fall arrives on Wednesday. It was a cool week because we were able to do go and check out some of the local attractions. The first couple years you live somewhere different it is almost like being a tourist. Monday evenings in Rehoboth Beach is Meterless Mondays. We decided we would visit Rehoboth last Monday and had a great time walking the boardwalk and then checking out some of our favorite stores. One is the Christmas shop and another is Browseabout Books. We also picked up some Thrashers Fries while we were out.
This past week we checked out libraries, went to Cape Henelopen State Park, checked out many of the WWII areas of interest on the beach, walked the beach there. We checked out some nearby Atlas Obscura sites. We also went to see the Assateague National Seashore and saw the wild horses. Overall it was a great week.
I was doing quite a bit of planning for upcoming events and follow up from last week’s board meeting. Early in the week I made a few phone calls and it seems everyone was out of the office, but by week’s end everyone had called me back.
This past week I have really tried to get back to regular workouts and was successful. Yesterday I even did three consecutive miles of running. The last time I was able to get in more miles than in September was June and by the 8th of June I was done. I’m hoping all continues well. Physical therapy is really helping.
We did have a good service at The Journey this morning. God is doing some pretty amazing things. So that about wraps it up for the week. Have a great week and Carpe Diem!
