Welcome to the second Sunday night in Eastern Standard time. I am still getting used to it being dark at 6. What’s even crazier is that the sun starts dipping behind the mountains a little after 4.
We have had some left over summer come on by this week. While the morning temps have been cold, the afternoon temps have been in the sixties. The temps are warm for the first part of November in NW PA. I’ll take it at the moment.
This past week was a bit of a crazy week. There’s too much to go into here, but suffice it to say things were a little crazy. By the way, we did have some snow – about 2 inches on Monday. It made the trip to school in the morning a bit interesting. By the afternoon, it was warm enough that most of the snow had melted. Then everything started to warm up.
My running game has been a bit off of late. I’m trying to get back on track but as the weather turns colder that is going to be a challenge because I’m not planning on working out in the gym.
This past Thursday night we had a wonderful prayer meeting. We try to meet weekly on Thursday nights. Because we only have a few, if one of us can’t make it, we cancel the in-person meeting, but still pray individually.
This morning we had a wonderful worship service at McCrae Brook. Pam did a great job leading a Sunday School lesson before worship. I preached from Psalm 136 – Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His faithful love endures forever. The Holy Spirit was evident as we gathered, worshipped in song, prayed and opened God’s Word.
That’s about all I have for tonight. We are going to be on some rest and relaxation next weekend, so there won’t be a Sunday Night Thoughts next weekend. Have a great week!
