Sunday Thoughts

After a long time of this being a video blog feature, I’ve decided to go back to the written form. No reason in particular.

As I write, Daylight Saving Time is over and it will be getting dark here soon. It’s 4:40 pm as I write. It’s still rather light, but it will be dark by 6. I will enjoy the light in the morning but the early darkness in the evening will not be welcome.

On Friday, we got our first few snowflakes, emphasis on few. We’ve seen a few snowflakes this afternoon, but we are supposed to have our first real snow overnight. We may wake up to about 1 to 3 inches.

This past week, we had a roadtrip to Pittsburgh. There was more truck traffic on I-80 than I would have preferred, especially in the rain. We did have some issues in the city of Pittsburgh due to our phone routing us in the wrong direction. The same thing happened on the way out. That’s the first time that has ever happened. The trip involved a stop at Chick-fil-A on the way in – that almost made us late – plus the getting lost. Ugg! On the way home we stopped at Primanti Bros. This is always a treat. Again it rained on the way home, but the traffic didn’t seem as bad. At least we were home by nightfall, which hasn’t always been the case.

We have completed 10 weeks of school and I am thankful for that.

We are looking forward to some warmer weather coming our way by the end of the week. Running wise, the end of the week was a bust and next week is a new week.

That’s about all I have for this week. Have a great week and Seize the day!
