Sunday Night Thoughts

Here we are – the first day of September – today was a bit of a dreary, rainy day, but we did have breaks of sun. Out our back window, I can see the first signs of autumn. Some of the leaves are starting to turn their familiar red, yellow, and orange.

This past week, we started our bus driving in earnest. All the schools in Pennsylvania are back in session and this week the New York schools go back. Driving bus kept me busy this week.

Here at the church, we are finishing up a sidewalk project in front of the parsonage. We really needed some new steps and the sidewalk and part of the driveway was a mess, so I’m glad that we did the whole project.

Yesterday we also took our son back to college. This is his senior year…wow! how does time fly.

We had a good service at church this morning. Pam and I preached together this morning. We wrapped up our series called “This Ain’t Hollywood.” I had the opportunity to lead the musical worship – which I always enjoy.

Tomorrow is Labor Day, so we get a nice day off to enjoy. That’s about all I have tonight. Have a great week!
