I’m reusing an old image. Today’s run was a just run kind of run. This was the first time in several weeks that I was able to get in 20+ miles missing 24 miles by just .1 mile.
All my runs this week were outside – no indoor track runs – no treadmill runs and there were hills and wind involved, but it is good to be back outside. They all seemed a little slow, but one of the things that I have been doing this week is lengthening all the runs – trying to get back to my benchmark of 6 miles. The 23.9 miles brought me to an April total of 41 miles and a yearly total of 216 miles. This run took me past last year’s total of 210 for the first four months of the year. I’d like to get close to April’s total of 95 miles because that would keep me well ahead of last year’s pace especially as we get into the high mileage months of late spring and summer. All in all, it was a good week and I continue to press on!
