Sunday Night Thoughts

Wow! Since yesterday afternoon, we have been enjoying some wonderful spring weather. This is a great change from last April when we got snow just about every morning. I was able to get in a good run yesterday. Me and another member worked on cleaning up the yard. It looks much better and if the weather continues like this, we will be needing to cut the grass soon.

April has started out with a bang and it’s going to stay busy through Easter. Currently we are getting ready for our Easter Egg Hunt which will be this Saturday – April 13. By the time we are done, we will have filled over a thousand eggs. This is the first time our church has done an Easter egg hunt. We are looking forward to it.

I spent the afternoon today rehearsing our community choir. Eldred has a great group of local musicians and I love directing the choir. We are getting ready for our Palm Sunday Concert which is Sunday night at 7 PM.

Also this week we get ready for our last Lenten Luncheon for the year. These have really been a wonderful thing that we have started since I’ve been here. We have a great group of community pastors and we have had some great fellowship.

It’s been busy and we even had a meeting with seniors as we plan a baccalaureate service for May.

I continue to remain thankful for what God is doing and how He is working. We had a good service this morning and we concluded the service with communion. As you can see, it’s going to be another busy week, but I am looking forward to it. Have a great week.
