Running Update

The first week of March is in the books. The weather here is Eldred is still not conducive to running outside, so my running was restricted to indoor tracks and the treadmill. I still can’t say that I love the treadmill, but it is better than no running at all and I can at least tolerate it – at least if I have some tunes.

Funny story. Yesterday, my plan was to go to the Y and run on the treadmill, but I forgot my phone…I was ok…I take my headphones and plug them in and listen to the tv. Yep, those were not in my gym bag. So yesterday I pounded out 5 miles without anything to distract me – slowly but surely I am getting faster on the treadmill, but it’s not the same as being outside. There might be a chance to get an outdoor run in this week.

The first week of March was good in that I past the totality of last March in the first week. I also passed my total miles for the first three months of 2018. Still working on passing March of 2017 – which was only 30 miles – however I have past the first three months of 2017 and if all goes well by the end of the month I could pass the first three months of 2016.

Right now, I’m only concentrating on mileage – once we get outside, I’d like to work on getting faster. It shouldn’t be long now. But until then, I press on!
