I’m always on the hunt for new and interesting Advent and Christmas Songs.  Several years ago, I lamented the lack of Advent songs in general but also the lack of contemporary Advent songs.  Since I wrote that, there have been some great new songs written and I will link to those below.  

Advent Songs:

This first batch are more traditional:

• Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus (one of my favorites)
• O Come, O Come Emmanuel
• Of The Father’s Love Begotten (an ancient plainsong that I have been working on a modern arrangement of that.)

These are in the more modern style:

• Even So Come 
• Waiting Here for You
• Days of Elijah

This year I found a couple of jewels that I want to share with you.

I love both of these songs that tell the message of the arrival of Jesus.  The following are some great new Christmas oriented songs.

As you can tell, not all of them are congregational in nature, but these are some great songs that I have added to my Advent/Christmas playlists.
