As you can see, it was a bit of a grey day – at one point the sun tried to peek out, but for the most part, it has been a grey, but spring day. This is the view our our front window, as the dogwood start to bloom. It’s a little late, but we have finally started cutting the grass. This week, I weeded our church’s little prayer garden and put in some mulch. It looks really nice.
This week our community ministerial association had a National Day of Prayer service. Our church had the privilege of hosting it. I don’t know the last time we hosted a community event. We had around 35 attend the prayer gathering. The Holy Spirit was evident as we prayed together. I believe God is preparing our community for revival. This service was one of the evidences of that.
As I write this, I am worn out from a good day of ministry. We had a great service this morning. I preached from 1 John 2:12-18 and asked the question “What’s not to love?” The Holy Spirit again was evident as I preached. Several in the congregation were deeply touched. It wasn’t the easiest of sermons to preach, but I am thankful for the help I received from the Spirit.
That’s about all I’ve got tonight. Have a great week!
