Four Days in a Row
While we woke up to bright sunshine and a temp in the low 20’s, there was just a little snow on the ground, but about the time Sunday School started, the snow really started flying. It marked the fourth day in a row we have had snow. Now that’s not so unusual in December or January when the lake effect snow is flying, but it is April. The good news is that the weatherman says, things should be turning around this week.
Kicking Up the Steps
This week, despite the weather, I was able to get in 5 quality runs. Most days, I was bundled up, but for the first time in many weeks, I was able to get in 20 miles. For the rest of the month, I need this many miles to match last April. If I can do that, I should be well on the way to matching or beating last year.
A Sabbath Week
After several crazy weeks, this week we stepped back. For one it was a partial break week for school, so I didn’t have as many bus runs. It was nice to be able to take a little break.
This week we return back to normal, without the community events. I am looking forward to our board meeting this week as we continue to discuss how we reach those in our community with the gospel.
We had a good service this morning as we celebrated around the Lord’s Table. I preached a short message about communion from 1 John 1:1-4. It was good not to have anything this afternoon. That’s about it…have a great week!
