It’s been a good weekend. We had our regular service at Emmaus Road on Friday night. Yesterday morning we had a Valentine’s breakfast. We had a good crowd and not surprisingly a lot of food. The weather has warmed up a bit this weekend, this evening the temp was 50, but is now working its way back down.
We had a great worship service at McCrae Brook this morning. We finished our series on a Story Telling Savior: The Parables of Jesus. Pam preached a sermon on Cultivating Spiritual Soil. She did a great job. After church we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed to choir rehearsal. Our community ministerium has a choir that does an annual Palm Sunday concert. Our program this year is called “The Road to Calvary.” We have a great choir. Tonight was our first rehearsal. We have some great sight singers and our accompanist does a great job as well. I am really looking forward to this.
This week we are preparing for the beginning of Lent which starts Wednesday. We will be having a service this Wednesday night at McCrae Brook. Next week our ministerium will begin a series of luncheons. Pam will be bringing the first devotional. We are looking forward to this as well
That’s about all I can think of this week. Seize the day!
