Merry Christmas!

It’s been a busy weekend but a good one.  Since Thursday I have led four worship service.  In all four of those services I led the music and worship and preached this morning.  It’s been a good weekend as we have gone from winter wonderland to no snow and now back to snow – and expecting some more.

This evening – just a few moments ago, our family got done opening presents.  One of things that we wanted to do is Christmas carol at one of church family’s family gathering.  So we did that between our last service tonight and our family Christmas.  It was great to see their surprised faces.

Thursday night we had our annual Longest Night Service. It was well attended and we had several new people who really needed a service like that service.  Friday night Pam and I headed over the mountain to Bradford for Emmaus Road. We had just the faithful few, but it was a good service.  Friday morning we had our company Christmas party.  Pam and I both work for a local school transportation company.  It was interesting because last year we didn’t know anyone, and this year I knew most of the people there.

This morning we had our regular worship service and this evening we had our Lessons and Carols service tonight.  It is one of my favorite services – consisting of scripture and music.  I love this service because almost everyone participates in some way.

It’s time to wind down.  Pam and I wish everyone a very merry Christmas.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16
