38 miles for this week. It’s been a good week of walking and running. Today I was scheduled for a long run and I haven’t done a long run in two weeks, so my goal was 8 miles. The great thing is that I did 8.5 miles. The pace over all was 10:21/mile pace. Not terribly bad. I thought it was all going to fall apart at mile 7, but somehow held it together and even ran a sub 10/min mile in the last 1/2 mile. Other good news this week was a 3 miler that was all under a 10 min/mile pace. I used to think 10 minute miles were slow, but for now, I’ll take them. Hopefully over the fall, I can bring those times down and not give up over the winter.
I have 66 miles for the month and really want to get to 100, so that I have a realistic chance of getting to 1,000 miles for the year. And so, I continue to Press On!
