Wow! What an amazing day. It’s really hard to explain, but let’s just say that God was with us in an amazing way all day. To say that Spring has sprung here in the Brook would be an understatement. Today we saw 70 degrees, with more of that on the way for tomorrow. Since James is home for Easter break and Anna is off, we are going to take a little day trip tomorrow. It’s off to Niagara Falls for us tomorrow. It’s a little over two hours from here. It looks like a beautiful day for it. What’s amazing is that we had snow on Friday and a high of about 35 – our bodies aren’t quite used to it.
This week was a little more normal than the weeks preceding it. We didn’t have a Lenten service on Wednesday, which was different. That, and I didn’t have choir practice on Thursday night. Our missions team did meet on Tuesday night. Friday night before we headed to Emmaus Road in Bradford, we went to pick up James. Yesterday was nice because there wasn’t alot to do – which was good because today was a big day.
This morning we had a wonderful time of worship at McCrae Brook. God’s Spirit was evident. We continue to pray that the Spirit of revival that was birthed several weeks ago continues. God is doing some pretty special things in our church and in our community.
Tonight was amazing. About two months ago we found out our community choir was in need of a director for a Palm Sunday Concert. I volunteered for the job. Let’s just say that we have some amazing musicians here in our little neck of the woods. We had a great concert this evening. All the music was live – no tracks – and the choir did a great job. In many ways, it seemed hard to believe that we have been here less than a year and yet have made so many in roads to the community. I am excited about what God is doing in our community. I continue to ask for your prayers as we seek the Lord.
That’s about all I’ve got I need to get to bed, so I can get in a run the morning before we head north. Blessings….
