Anna, Pam and I have been participating in a new venture on Friday Nights. The Wesleyan Church in Bradford, PA has started a new venue called Emmaus Road. It is a casual coffee-house style service – it’s actually in a coffeehouse. We lead worship every other week. Next week, Pam will be preaching and I’ll be handling the “MC” duties filling in for their pastor. Last night a couple wandered in as we were going over the songs before the service. They enjoyed the music and stayed for the service – isn’t that cool. The Wesleyan Church has been talking about “Made New” gatherings. This is an example of one. Pastor Terri and the congregation of First Wesleyan would appreciate your prayers as the reach out in this unique way. Our “sound” is very acoustic coffee-house with vocals, guitar and flute. I’ll have to see if we can catch some video the next time we lead.
Here is the worship set for last night:
- O Worship the King (Tomlin arrangement)
- Children of God (Third Day)
- Hosanna (Hillsong)
- Revelation Song
- Holy, Holy, Holy (my hymn arrangement)
