Today is Global Running Day. The purpose is to raise awareness of fitness. I often say that it doesn’t really matter what kind of exercise you are getting – as long as you are getting exercise. When work doesn’t get in my way I really like to get in 6 one hour workouts – 4 runs and 2 walks a week.
Today I didn’t have to work, and I was worried because I hadn’t felt really good over the last two days, so I ran in the park. My original plan was 7 miles, but after 4 miles, I could feel the effects of being under the weather, so I finished 4 laps and then went an extra time around the bandstand and the pond – giving me a total of 5.8 miles. It wasn’t a great run – but it was a run and I was able to celebrate global running day by running this morning.
