Happy Mother’s Day
Unless you’ve been hiding all day, you already know that. Late this afternoon, I was able to give my mom a call and wish her a happy Mother’s Day. Our family has had a good day…we are hoping yet to talk to our kids. I had a chance to take a picture before church of Pam, James, and Anna.
Speaking of pictures of Anna and James, today marks 5 years since Rebecca graduated from Southern Wesleyan. It seems hard to believe that Rebecca and Michael have already been married 5 years, but that’s another story 🙂 Anyhow, in my Facebook memories feed, I came across this picture.
As you can see, James now towers over the rest of the family. You can also see that James had quite a growth spurt and is much thinner now – and he is strong.
Yes, just 77 days until our first Sunday in Eldred, PA. We are looking forward to beginning ministry at McCrea Brook Wesleyan Church. In case, you haven’t seen the church, here is a picture.
Eldred is in northern Pennsylvania. The nearest cities are Bradford, PA and Olean, NY. It will be a bit of a drive to some bigger cities. Buffalo and Erie are about an hour and a half away. Eldred is a borough of about 1,000. We would covet your prayers as we pack, prepare, move, and begin ministry there.
- My knee is healing nicely. If you haven’t heard, I banged it up pretty good on Wednesday while out for a run.
- We had a good worship service with our friends over at Waynesboro Wesleyan this morning. There was a wonderful spirit of worship as we sang, prayed and heard God’s Word.
- In addition to leading the worship, I also taught the Children’s Church lesson about worship. I don’t teach often, but I enjoy it.
That’s about all I have for tonight – have a great week!
