Sunday Night Thoughts

Sunday Night Thoughts

Tired!

That would sum up the last couple of days.  It has been a busy couple of days at Chick-fil-A.  I was up at 4 on Friday morning, so that I could have everything ready by open on Friday.  Thursday, Friday, and Saturday seems to be a long stretch, probably because I have to be up in the pre-dawn hours on those days.  I am grateful to have this job – it has been a life saver during the waiting.  Although, you will notice I did not have a running post this week.  Being exhausted from work makes it tough to want to go out running.

The Big News!

Here Pam and I are standing in front of McCrae Brook Wesleyan Church in Eldred, PA. McCrae Brook is part of the Western New York District of the Wesleyan Church.  The church is located about two miles south (as you drive) of the New York border – twelve miles south of Olean, NY.  The nearest city in Pennsylvania is Bradford.  As you can see, when we made our vist we had a fresh, new coating of snow on the ground.  Eldred is definitely rural. The church is located in one of the many hollows that branch off the Allegheny River.

We have accepted a call to go pastor at McCrae Brook.  It has been a long process.  Today marks just over 14 months since we resigned from Parkway Wesleyan Church.  It has been an incredible process as we have watched God work and lead.

Over this past week, I have been working on a few things for our transition.  It will be nice to get the boxes packed for real this time.  I would encourage you to check our our fledgling web presence.  I have a basic website (McCrae Brook) set up – with plans to get our own domain name.  In addition I plan having a page for FacebookTwitter – and Instagram.

We are looking forward to what God has in store for both us and the church.

Other than that – that’s about it for this week.  Looking forward to getting in some running this week.  The weather is suppose to be gorgeous.  Very summer like out there this week.  Have an awesome week!
