Today felt more like Easter than Christmas, in fact this morning it was warmer when we got up than it has been over the last few Easter mornings. Pam and I were just discussing Easter and when it falls in the calendar this year. If this keeps up, we may just have a nice Easter this year. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous for mid-December. I have had very few excuses not to run because of the weather – my work schedule, however is a different story.
I was able to get out for two good runs this week. Both of them were three mile efforts and one of them was under a 9 min/mile pace. Tomorrow I plan on going out for a four miler on the streets of Staunton and see how that goes. I’m going to try to get my mileage up to around 10 to 15 miles this week.
I have been busy working at Chick-fil-A, after all it is that season – we have been busy. This evening however, we were able to take in a local live nativity at a nearby church and we went to the park to look at the lights. Instead of driving through the park, we took advantage of the warm evening (for December) and walked through the park and took pictures.
It has been a good day and it all got kicked off by an awesome worship service at Waynesboro Wesleyan. It was just one of those mornings when God “showed up” and we worshiped through music, God’s Word, prayer and testimonies. The congregation at Waynesboro is small but they are filled with the Holy Spirit and that showed this morning. I also had a great time playing the song “Untitled Hymn” while my friend Vilene sang it.
This week my schedule returns to normal and I am looking forward to a great week. Seize the Day!
