Back In the USA
Thursday evening we arrived back in the Shenandoah Valley. It was good to visit with our kids in Ottawa, Ontatrio. We watched the Blue Jays together- coming back from a two game deficit. We had a great time as we celebrated Canadian Thamksgiving. Revere can hadn’t had the family’s potato filling in quite some time, so I made some for her and everyone else. Instead of turkey, we had chicken. We got to see some awesome fall foliage. On Sunday we had some good street food on the streets of Ottawa. There is something about eating food on the street. We had a great time and on both sides of the trip, we got to see my mom and dad.
It’s been crazy around here. All of us have some form of a cold or chest congestion. James is suffering the worst, but he is on antibiotic and resting.
Thirty One Years
Today Pam and I celebrate a unique anniversary. It was on this day many years ago,Pam and I had our first date. We went to Pam’s homecoming banquet at United Wesleyan College. She was in her junior year. I love her so much and we have a great time together.
Today we were quite surprised and humbled by the congregation we are helping out. We received a wonderful little gift for pastor’s appreciation month. We have enjoyed serving along side Pastor Craig at Waynesboro Wesleyan as we await the plan that God has for us.
For the second week in a row I was able to complete four runs. I was able to complete as much mileage in October so far as I completed in September. I’m looking forward to getting even stronger.
That’s about it for the evening. Seize the day!
