Yesterday morning I was flipping through the channels, seeing what was on the news. The story that caught my interest was a story about a Dutch speed skater. While he was in the middle of a race, his coach told him to go into the wrong lane. The skater listened to his coach and even crossed the finish line seconds before the other skaters. Even though he had beaten everyone else, he still lost the race. Sometimes we go to those who we think we can trust and they would never let us down. Even those people can lead us down the wrong road. Only Christ will never take us the wrong way. This is why our devotional life is so important; we need to know the right way to go. We also need to know the voice of Christ when He talks to us. This helps to hear Him in all the confusion of our lives.
