Last evening we arrived safely in Frankfort, IN. We are on the former Frankfort Pilgrim College campus. Most recently it served as the conference/campground facility for the Indiana Central District of the Wesleyan Church. Pam and I are here for FLAME. She will be taking two more classes toward ordination and I will be leading worship for our morning chapels. FLAME stands for Fellowship of Leaders Acquiring Ministerial Education. It allows those who are following God’s call to ministry after the traditional college years, to pursue ordination in the Wesleyan Church. It is a week of education – yes, but it is also a week of spiritual renewal, worship, fellowship, and networking with other students from around the Wesleyan Church.

I attended FLAME seven times as I student. This will be my tenth time back as an alumni. Most of those times I have led worship. It is great to be here with friends and I look forward to meeting new people. This morning we will be attending a brand new service at the Nazarene church in Frankfort. Following worship, we will begin to prepare for the students arriving from all over North America. It should be a fun week. Blessings….
