Icy Morning/Beautiful Evening
The start to this morning was icy. Looks like we had a little bit of freezing rain. It kept some of the folks home, but for the most part, many people ventured out. By lunch time the skies were clearing and by church time tonight, it was absolutely gorgeous. Tomorrow is suppose to be in the mid-50′s. Looks like a great day for a run
Angel’s Aware
Tonight our student ministries department, along with the help of several adult volunteers presented our Christmas musical. We had a great time and the students did a great job. They received many compliments. I was proud of them as they memorized all the speaking parts. We tried to memorize as much of the music as we could, but had the help words fed to us by a screen. There was a great set, lighting and most important a great spirit as we presented the musical. Rebecca even got to reprise a solo that she sang in 2nd grade. Thank you all for a great job
Joy to the World
Our worship this morning was inspiring in spite of the fact that we were a bit disorganized. We had a few extra elements in the service that I didn’t plan adequately for. That did not dampen the Holy Spirit’s presence. Pastor Barry preached a great sermon from Ruth on Bethlehem being a place of transformation.
Closing Thoughts
Tomorrow I need to clean up from the musical and prepare for next’s weeks service. It’s looking to be a great week. We will be introducing the song Christmas Offering to the congregation next week. I am looking forward to building God’s Kingdom this week. God bless and Seize the Day!
