It was a much longer day than I had anticipated at work today. This is the busy time for Salvation Army, so it is to be expected. The bonus is that it was warm compared to the last couple weeks, even though it was raining.
It was an interesting night — we tend to have one of those nights every year somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think the students get edgy as we get near to Christmas. Tonight was that night. Hopefully it will be the only one. Next week is our annual Christmas service/party/dinner for Mosaic. I doubt we will have attitude problems next week. At least we didn’t have anyone punch anyone’s lights out or try to start a fight tonight, but strange nonetheless.
We had 27 students tonight with 6 staff for a total of 33. I’m looking forward to our night next week.
