One of the things I’ve done this year is to become a choral booster for Anna’s High School Chorus.  The choral boosters consist mainly of parents of students.  I got a call last night that the choral boosters needed some help decorating the float, so I rose to the challenge.  I was nice not to be in charge.  The theme for the parade was An All-Star Christmas.  The chorus put together a float based on all-star musicians.  It was a really nice float, with lots of lights.  As I’ve mentioned several times, it’s been cold (for these parts) this year.  About four o’clock something wonderful happened, it started snowing.  Nothing like a Christmas parade in the snow.  It wasn’t too bad until the sun went down, then it got cold.  It went very well and because we were choral boosters, we were allowed to ride the float as well.  It was very nice despite the cold.  I’m still trying to warm up as I get ready for worship in the morning.  Here are a couple of pictures.

You may or may not heard about this, but I thought it would be good to share it with you.  I’ve really been thinking a lot lately about Christians helping others.  Check out the website Advent Conspiracy.  It is a much different take on Advent and Christmas.  I really encourage you to think differently about Christmas this year.  I love the tenents of Advent Conspiracy.
