It was cold but not really cold last Friday, when our family went to Washington DC. By the time we got to the Korean War Memorial I could not feel my feet. As I was walking past the memorial, which is a battalion of soldiers, I thought how hard it must have been for the soldiers to live for months in the cold without shelters. Yes, I was cold and could not feel my feet but I soon would be in a warm van. I know there have been many wars that our troops have been subject to extreme weather. It got me thinking how much those who have fought for our freedom have gone through for us. I also really liked wall with the pictures of men and women who fought for us and their roles in the war, they even had chaplains depicted on the wall.
