One of the classes that I took at FLAME X last week was Intro to Homiletics. This is a preaching course. During that class I heard a sermon that got me thinking about this subject.

Do you know the putty in your church? Probably not, they are the people who just fill in the cracks at church. When someone is needed, they fill in and do the job. Most people don’t see them because they do not make a big deal when they fill in when they are needed. The church could not go on doing what they do if they did not have the putty in their church. When you want something done all you need to do is find the person who is the putty in your church and have them fill in the crack.
