District Conference 2008 is over.  It was a great conference.  We had some great worship and our leaders helped cast vision for the next year.  There was great fellowship.  Our regional group of pastors met this afternoon for lunch and we had a great time and scheduled some events for later on in the year.  I caught up with many FLAME alumni.  Like I mentioned last night, at least six of our ordinands completed at least one class through FLAME and several who are already ordained have taken classes through FLAME including myself.  Then there are those who are still in process.  I also caught up with fellow district bloggers and got to meet another blogger from our district.  I love the fellowship and worship aspect of District Conference.

I forgot to mention that during the Ordination Service last night they handed out Ministry Service awards.  I was surprised that they handed out ten-year awards and that I received one.  It’s hard to believe that I have been a vocational minister for ten years already.  So that was cool.

The next big event on our calendar is FLAME X and tonight I started preparing for that.  The summer is half over, wow!  Blessings….
