Now the break from blogging makes sense. This past week, Pam and I took a vacation. We left immediately after worship on Sunday and returned this afternoon. It was a great time with family and friends. Monday
evening I got to spend time with an old friend of mine. He was the president of our youth group and I was the vice-president. Even before that, we spent alot of time together. Here’s a picture of our families having ice cream together.
The next day, our family to a trip to wonderful family amusement park in central Pennsylvania called Knoebels. We had a great time riding the rides. James rode just about everything he could including both roller coasters, the Skoolsh (which is just an excuse to get wet) it is one of those big boats that goes up and then comes down, getting you
completely soaked in the process; the log flume and a whole
bunch of others. There weren’t many that I rode that James didn’t come along for the ride. What’s nice about this park is that the lines are very short, meaning that usually, you never had to wait, except for the ride to stop and for you to get on.
On Wednesday, before leaving for Pam’s dad’s house, we went miniature golfing. There a great course not too far from my parent’s house. Pam did end up a little sunburnt from that excursion.
It was great to spend time with Pam’s dad and her sister and her family on Thursday. The kids loved swimming in the pool and spent time each day in it. Yes, this was an emotional trip, being that it was our first time back home since Pam’s mom passed away, but Pam did good and is working her way through the recovery process. Maybe when I get Rebecca’s pictures, I’ll post a few from our 4th of July get together yesterday. Almost the whole family made it, which was really nice. This morning we were up early and made the trip back to the Southside to get ready for worship. Blessings.
