Today marks the two year anniversary of blogging. It has been an interesting journey. I enjoy going back from time to time to see my thoughts and what the Lord has brought us through. In those early days I was lucky to post once or twice a week. Now, it’s usually once or twice a day with several regular features, such as Music Monday, Weekly Lectionary Readings, Worship Recap, Sunday Night Thoughts, Sunday’s Sermon and Wednesday Night Update. Originally there was only one feature and that was my Sunday Night Thoughts. In fact, that was the original post and it was about Homecoming 2006.
In those two years, I have moved to a new blogging platform, registered my own domain name, added a contributor (Pam), between the both of us we have written 950 posts or an average of 1.3 a day. Between the old Virginia Transplant blog and Reflections from the Southside, we have had over 7,500 visitors. About 15% of the visits to this blog are returning visits. For you 15%, I am really grateful. The above stat is actual visits and not page loads which makes a big difference.
I can’t believe it’s been two years and many blogs have come and gone in that period. Here’s to another year of blogging. Keeping the flame held high!
