What a gorgeous day we had today on the Southside. It has been a wonderful spring — not too cold — not to hot and a nice amount of rain. They were calling for rain today, but it looks like they missed that one.
As usual tonight was Mosaic Student Ministries. At first, I didn’t think we were going to have any students, but several of them called later than usual. We had about 5 or six core students along with some who come on a regular basis for a total of 10, plus 8 staff. Our attendance isn’t as good as it’s been, but not as low as it was when we arrived here three years ago. They were well behaved tonight, which always makes for a good night. We introduced Steve Fee’s “All Because of Jesus” during worship. We need to bring it down a step or two especially for the girls. It was a bit to high. But all the other songs were some of their favorites. Like I said, overal it was a good night.
My laptop has arrived at the repair center. I received both an email and a phone call confirming that. I continue to use Rebecca’s computer as a backup. Speaking of backups, I was able to put my hard drive into Rebecca’s laptop and copy the important files I needed for Sunday onto my USB drive and then onto her laptop, so now I am less panicked. I still have to put the presentation together, but I’m waiting for a few more pictures. So my plan worked this morning and I’m happy. I’ll be happier yet when my computer gets back.
