Yesterday was a big day in our family. It all started when I had an interview with Salvation Army. Looks very positive. I’ll let you know when it’s official. I’m really looking forward to doing something different as a bi-vocational position than what I have done for the last eight years. Plus, it appears the hours will be more consistent and no nights.
Rebecca had an interview at KFC. She’s waiting on a background check and should start soon. I’m very proud of her. She has been filling out applications all over the place and yesterday, she starting making some follow-up calls and they asked her when she could come over. It sounds like it was a short interview. I’m very happy for her and now she’ll have some spending money.
James had an AR party. That stands for Advanced Reader. James reached his goal in reading a certain number of books and his teachers threw a party for all who reached their goal.
Anna and Rebecca went to the chorus picnic, where Anna picked up several certificates and the “Most Dedicated to Show Choir” trophy.
I got a night off from Radioshack, so Pam won a night out with her husband. We went to a local seafood place — Captain Tom’s. Let’s just say the food was great and the service was fantastic. Our waiter was on the ball and full of energy and yet let us take our time. It didn’t hurt that the place was full. Even so, we got right in. Pam and I could have shared a platter.
So a great day to brag on my family.
