Today was one of those crazy days, and I was really hoping that tonight wouldn’t be a crazy night and my wish came true. Earlier this week I was putting together tonight’s lesson. Through a schedule mistake (mine) I accidentally scheduled a National Day of Prayer student rally on the wrong week. There were already things scheduled for last week when we were supposed to do the rally. Anyway, I decided to make tonight more of a worship night. We sang more songs than usual and the students tracked along well, we might try that format again sometime. What did we sing? We Want to See Jesus Lifted High, Every Move I Make, Not To Us, Shout to the Lord, Here I Am to Worship, and Agnus Dei. I followed that up with a video from Bluefish TV called Majestic God. If you’ve not checked out Bluefish TV, they are a great resource for the small church. The videos are much more affordable ($2.99) plus a lesson for $.99. I can afford that kind of video. Not only did we talk about God’s majesty, but how He created the world and us and how we were created to create and create to the glory of God. Pam and I were talking on the way home and it seemed the students were tracking with the lesson. I had all the grades tonight. We had several staff sit in on the lesson. The students behaved wonderfully. Tonight we had 12 students with 6 staff. The attendance has been a little weird, but again we have lost students because of parents moving out of state.
Overall, I really enjoyed tonight. I was great and I feel we accomplished something for the Kingdom.
