This morning as I was listening to the radio and there was a devotional on Jesus’ kingship. It got my attention. The scripture was John 18: 37, “Pilate said, ‘So you are a king?’ Jesus responded, ‘You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.’”
During the devotion, the person talked about the two different kinds of monarchy. The one we would know is the like England where Queen Elizabeth has the title but does not have the power. Then, there is the monarchy that has title and the power to rule over the country. As the devotion was finishing, the question was asked, “Which kind of monarchy is Jesus in your life? Is He the one you honor only on Sunday and you rule your life the rest of the week? Or is the King who rules your life all week long.
