In my experience, they are loosely connected. Sometimes I will use this to expand on ideas that I will be preaching the following week. One of the ways that I use this blog is to help people get to know me better — that I am a real person. It’s also been a great way to journal what is happening in my life. From time to time, I go back and read the posts from earlier and love to remember what prompted that particular writing. These are not things that I typically would share from the pulpit, but are important none the less. In addition to blogging, I do make my sermons available to read or copy (I don’t know if anyone does or not.) Occasionally, I will get comments there. I may even end up moving my sermons here eventually — that’s how the lectionary stuff ended up here. There were too many blogs to keep track of. Anyway, sorry for the rambling. God bless…Dale
