FLAME got off to a smoking start. At least thats what the smoke detectors thought. We were awoken shortly before three in the morning to the sound of fire alarms ringing everywhere. Fortunately it was a false alarm. Table Rock Wesleyan Camp is a beautiful place. We have a beautiful view of Table Rock mountain. Even though it seems miles from anywhere. On a walk across the camp it was amazing only to hear the sounds of nature instead of civilization.

One of the reasons I’m here is to lead worship. This morning it was just me and my guitar and about 50 worshipers. It was cool. We are in one half of a gym with reverberant acoustics, which sounded great. The other reason I’m here is to help our great kitchen staff, Dave and Mary Lou. It’s an area that I need in my life and that is servant leadership. My desire is to serve the Lord by serving others this week.

I did learn one thing about my laptop. We were having trouble with choppy audio and video this morning. I found out if you turn off the wi-fi, everything clears up. A simple but annoying fix that seems only to affect Dell laptops.

Now I have to finish up my video/lyric presentation for tomorrow. Blessings….Dale
