We had a great service this morning. I originally thought I would be out of town this morning, so we had scheduled a Gideon International speaker. I try to bring this organization in once a year because I believe in what they do to spread the Gospel. One thing you might not know about the Gideons is that every dollar collected at churches or through memorials goes directly to distributing Bibles. No salaries are paid with that money, which means donating money for Bibles through the Gideons is about the best deal there is.
After service, our family went out to eat at Wendy’s and then waited for my ride to FLAME. This week I will be leading worship at FLAME which is a conference to educate men and women for ordination in the Wesleyan Church. I have other duties as well such as filling the ice machine and helping in the kitchen with my friends Dave and Mary Lou. Our Wesleyan campground here in Table Rock, SC has wi-fi service, so for the first time at any FLAME for me, I will be connected to my family via the internet (which is cool!) I will be blogging “live” from Table Rock as well. I am looking forward to this week of worship and service.
