First, we’ll go back to last night. We had another good night, I think, at Mosaic. We had 31 show up or picked up. Anna is currently in practice for a Madrigal dinner the last weekend this month, so instead of Anna running EasyWorship, James did and he did a great job. Every screen came up right when it was suppose to. I’ve seen adults run projection software and do a much worse job. If you know me, you know I’m quite a perfectionist when it comes to that sort of thing. I really want it done right. Part of that was instilled by a former prof at IWU. We used our new Peavey mixer for worship…we had been borrowing the mixer from the main sound system upstairs and that was getting to be a pain. It’s built solidly and did the job last night.
Pam and I did something a little different with Impressions. Instead of teaching, we did some service projects. Pam had the girls make cards for military wives who’s husbands will be away at Christmas. We sent encouraging cards to Chaplains and their wives as part of our ministry. I had the boys do some work. We moved a love seat from our garage to the Youth room and moved some furniture there. Next week with the Middle School we will do the same thing, except the boys will be setting up their new room. We have a great problem in Middle School, too many students…I’ll take that one any day over too few students. Our attendance was over 30 again. We have been consistently in the high 20′s or low 30′s, which I praise God for.
Today, I worked on my sermon which will continue the theme “Can You Give Your Life for the Cause?” This week we are going to look at Wesleyans and their involvement with politics. It should make for an interesting sermon…
