We had an interesting evening. Pam and I went to pickup our students beginning at 5:30 PM. We were almost afraid we would have any tonight. We returned from our trip (We had seven) to 7 or 8 more. We rounded up the middle school students and took them to visit one of our shut-ins.

Last week we took our elementary students to see her. We took seven students and they did a great job singing “Open the Eyes of My Heart,” “Holy, Holy, Holy,” and “Amazing Grace.” Then I shared from John 15 that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches and that we should bear good fruit. Apart from Jesus we can’t do anything. I also shared with the students the fruits of the Spirit and then reminded them that we are to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. (Hebrews 10:24) Then we finished with “Every Move I Make.”

We tood the students back to the church where our elementary students (with the help of Ms. Connie) had prepared a delicious snack of pigs in a blanket, chips, chocolate covered bananas, and cupcakes. Oh, and I forgot, slushies. Then we rounded up the students and took them home. It took a little longer than usual but it was fun. All in all, a good night of ministry.
