Tonight I want to share a clip with you from the band Casting Crowns. My friend Wayne turned me on to this band about a year and a half ago. This band is made up of pastors and youth pastors who are all active in their local churches. I like that their songs are written to the church and that they care about the church.

I purchased the CD’s in backwards order, first buying “Lifesong.” I was so impressed with the CD that I developed an entire series based on the songs from that CD using the scriptures in the CD and others that God gave to me during preparation. Typically, I don’t do very well at topical sermons, but this was an exception.

The song is Can Anybody Hear Her? It is a powerful reminder to us all that there are people walking or in our case driving by our church every day. Do we hear their cries for help? Even if we do hear their cries are we willing to stop and take the time and lend a listening ear? If they came into our churches would they be welcome? Take the time and watch the video and then pray for those who pass by your church everyday, that you will be able to hear them and be an influence to them. I know that is my prayer for my community.
