Today we got our first real taste of spring in Martinsville. Here are some pictures of some daffodils that are blooming in front of the church. I know my friends in New York are experiencing some warm weather and quite a bit of snow melt. It looks like we are going to have a few more spring/summer previews this week. I still can’t get used to spring coming so early. Last year I remember driving to Indiana in late March and was amazed at the difference between here and there.
Spring is always a reminder of new life. I’ll be using 2 Corinthians 5:17 this week in my sermon. When we are in Christ, we are a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come. This is the transformation that comes from a relationship with Christ. We no longer live for ourselves, but live for Christ.
