As our children get older, we don’t get up quite as early as we used to, but James, our youngest, was up at 4:30 this morning wondering what Santa had left him. I got up at about 5:30 and we decided to wake the rest of the household up at 7:15. The children opened up their presents. It was interesting because everyone was sleepy except for James and we heard several oohs from him. They all like their presents. After we opened our presents, I made our now traditional sausage scrambles. We had planned to go visiting some of our shut-ins today, but Pam has not been feeling well, so I think we are just going to take it easy and enjoy the family.
One of the cool things that happened this morning as I was making breakfast is a lady from our congregation called and told me how much she enjoyed the choir’s presentation yesterday and to wish the pastor’s family a Merry Christmas. I think that’s the first time that has ever happened and again I was overwhelmed at what God is doing.
May you all have a blessed Christmas from the Argot family to yours and may God bless you in the coming new year.
