I’ve finally recovered. I love going to serve at FLAME, but for some reason, I am a restless sleeper there. I averaged about 5 hours of sleep each night. When I got home Friday night, I ate supper with the family and collapsed in bed at 6:30 PM. I slept through the night and was up at 5:00. Last night I was in bed by 9:00 and slept until 7:00. In addition, I got an hour and a half nap after church this morning.
I’m finally feeling rested. Not bad considering we had choir practice (which I led before church) and Ministry Leadership Team (It’s still officially the Local Board of Administration, but we call it the Ministry Leadership Team because that’s what we do.) after church tonight.
I’m looking foward to a great week of ministry. My wife and I have several shut-ins to see this week. Friday night, Pam gets to meet for the first time with our District Board of Ministerial Development. She is feeling the call to ministry beyond that of being a pastor’s wife. I’m looking forward to having a partner in the ministry, which she already is. Pam comes with me on almost all of my visitation and she is always helping me in the office. Pam is our church’s encourager; sending birthday cards, thank you cards, get well cards, we miss you cards and other cards. Hopefully, she’ll be taking her first class in January which will be Intro to Homeletics at our district center.
This morning I preached on the importance of finding the lost. If you would like to see those thoughts, click here. Have a great week.
