Yes, this is the longest my blog has been quiet in a long time. I was cool being at Victory Mountain Camp this week. We had no internet access. There was only one TV. We watched the Colts and Patriots on Sunday night and that was it. There was some cell phone service. So, I was on a spiritual retreat. It was very nice.

Let’s just say FLAME was awesome. FLAME (Fellowship of Leaders Aquiring Miniterial Education) is designed for men and women who are over 28 to take classes toward ordination in the Wesleyan Church. I am a graduate of FLAME. Many invested in me and so I invest back into FLAME. One of my duties was to lead worship. We had a great band made up of students, a local pastor and me. God moved in powerful ways during our morning chapels. Especially moving was our Wednesday night communion service. At the end of the service, professors, FLAME alumni, and sometimes local pastors pray over each student one on one. I enjoy praying with the students. I had a chance to minister to several through this prayer time.

Now, I need to change gears and get ready for Sunday. The sermon needs to be prepared. I’m off retreat and back to the business of building God’s Kingdom in Martinsville, VA.
