Tonight, I started out with high expectations. The first game got off to a rousing start with me bowling a 142 game which is 9 pins over my average (not too bad.) Things went downhill from there. The next game I bowled a 131 which is 2 pins below average. The last game was interesting to say the least. At the end of the sixth frame, I had only knocked down 56 pins. I was thinking I’d be lucky to get to 100. I decided to stop over-thinking and just get up there and throw the ball. The next two frames were strikes, missing a turkey for the second time this season. By the ninth frame I was back to the same old trouble that plagued me earlier and finished with two more open frames. I finished with a 118 for that game. So much for consistency tonight. The last couple of weeks my scores were within a few pins of each other for each game. My average is now a 132 with 15 games bowled this season. As a team we won 3 points and lost 4. We won the first game and total pins. Tonight we started in 4th place, but I’m sure that will be short-lived. We bowl again Wednesday night because of our Summit Week next week.
My Father-in-Law will be coming next week for our Summit (Revival) Services. He now goes by Country Rev and Friends. We are looking forward to a great week of spiritual renewal. That’s why we have to pre-bowl for next week. So stay tuned in the continuing saga of Monday Night Bowling
