Worshiping…In Spirit and In Truth

Our church is participating in the Year of the Bible like many others are in the Wesleyan Church. Many in our congregation are reading through the Bible this year. This morning caught me by surprise. In the middle of all the names that we have been struggling through, comes a song of praise written by David. It can be found in 1 Chronicles 16:7-36. As we went visiting to several of the shut-ins in our church, I read it to them — They were pleasantly surprised as I was by this song of praise to God. It’s been good, even so far, for us to do this. I am learning along with the congregation at Preston Wesleyan about God’s wonderful story. The Bible shows us that without God’s help, we can’t do it. We need to rely on him. That’s where I want to be.
